Storage and Analytics Policy
Last updated:
Minimal Sudoku uses a small amount of browser storage to provide features you request. Optional analytics and the Sleekplan feedback widget are disabled until you allow them together or separately. We do not use advertising cookies.
Essential storage
- Authentication session: keeps you signed in and protects account access. The standard session lasts for up to seven days unless you sign out earlier.
- Game and interface state: local storage and session storage retain puzzles, local profiles, achievements, sound/theme choices, pending games and dismissed notices. These values stay on your device until the feature removes them or you clear browser data.
- Pathfinder image-import quota: an HTTP-only identifier prevents repeated use of the anonymous free allowance. It expires after one year.
- Installed-app channel: an app wrapper may store the current store platform so purchases are routed to the correct provider.
- Offline cache: the service worker may cache application files so the installed web app loads reliably and can provide offline functionality.
- Analytics choice: local storage remembers whether you allowed or declined analytics without automatic expiry. The question is not shown again unless you change the choice, clear this site's browser data, or we must request consent again after a material change.
- Feedback-widget choice: local storage remembers whether you allowed or declined the Sleekplan widget without automatic expiry. This record is necessary to apply your privacy choice on later visits.
Optional analytics
If you select Allow optional services, or allow analytics separately under Privacy settings, we load Umami Cloud, Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. These services are cookieless and are used only to understand audience growth, page usage and performance. We remove URL query strings and fragments and redact identifiers in dynamic routes before analytics events are sent. We do not send account identifiers or email addresses to analytics and do not use Umami's identification function.
You can change your choice at any time using Privacy settings in the footer. Declining has no effect on the game, account features or purchases.
Optional feedback widget
Selecting Allow optional services also allows the Sleekplan widget, but does not load it. Clicking Feedback is still the first time the SDK contacts Sleekplan. If you selected Necessary only, or declined the widget separately, we first ask for contextual consent. Only after you select Allow and open do we load the Sleekplan SDK and display its embedded widget. Declining does not affect the game, account features, purchases, or anonymous analytics choice.
Once allowed, the widget uses the first-party cookies _sleek_session for a unique browser session and _sleek_product for a logged-in visitor session, each for up to 90 days. It also uses _sleek_storage in local storage until cleared to remember device-session information, including viewed announcements and pop-ups. If Web Storage is unavailable, Sleekplan may use a cookie instead. Sleekplan states that this storage is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
You can withdraw this consent at any time through Privacy settings in the footer. We then remove the known Sleekplan cookies and local-storage entry from this site and reload the page to remove the widget. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.
